Which shots do YOU like better, 1 or 2 and 3 or 4 and why?
Thank You!
1 & 2, sharper and DOF is much better.
Not 3 or 4. The foreground tree is too obtrusive for my taste.
1 & 3. Soft blur in #2 detracts; dead tree in #4 is overpowering.

Mike, Number 3. Get the bridge and decayed tree.
Since it's a photo of a bridge, I'd have to go with 1. The foreground in 2 is pretty much irrelevant and that's what's in focus. 3 and 4 concentrate more on the disfigured tree, or whatever it is, and make the bridge irrelevant. Since I see no relevance to the foreground tree in 3 and 4, and since it pretty much ruins the view of the bridge, personally, I'd delete them.
Definitely number 1.
If I'm honest with you, none. That's not being disrespectful, but in each image there is nothing that your eye settles on, sorry.
Dave.
Possibly #1 or 2 if shot from a lower vantage point if possible. If the foreground tree branches could act as framing rather than a “shoot-through”.
#1 and #3. I can not really tell you why other than I just like them.
One and three for me. One is sharper than 2. 3 seems sharper than 4 and the composition of 3 is better.
Only #1. I assume the idea was to shoot the bridge and stream. The others just totally destroy that idea.
Sorry, but I have to agree with Dave. None of these stand out. If the bridge was your main subject it should be sharp IMHO. A good scene I think you should be able to keep working on it as a subject.

Only #1 because the bridge remains the subject, not a tree.
