Lizard that is! - Short story long -
Son pulls into bank ATM (he's gonna be 21 in March) Gets cash from the machine and SCREEEEMMMMS like a school child!! LOL!!! I'm on the phone with him. I say WHATS UP?
A BIG ASS LIZZARD just got on my windshield. It crawled from underneath the hood by the windshield wiper area. SO.. he drove 2 miles home with this lizard hanging on to the windshield wiper for dear life!
All ended well, he pulls up and I remove the alligator lizard, grabbed the 5DMIV that already had the 100mm macro on it, threw on the ring light and..... NO ONE wanted to hold it... The lizard that is. So I had to hold the lizard and the camera all at once! Took a few head shot shots and let it be on it's way! What a day.....LOL
Double hand held at 3 inches...!!!

👍! The only 'harm' they do is eat live insects. Lovely animals, really.
Nice shots.

My Granddaughter (25 now and 2 children of her own) when she was 4 held a alligator lizard and a tarantula that I brought home. Afterwards we let both of the go in an open grass area near us. Both do a lot of good.

I did let it go, but I think it liked being in a warm house for a bit though! Lol

Very well done, especially considering the circumstances, lizard in one hand, camera in the other. I think you need to have a LONG talk with your 21 year old son.

Lizard that is! - Short story long - br Son pulls... (show quote)

Long ago a cheapskate production movie used one of them for a dinosaur - so they must be dangerous.

They do a fair job of munching on bugs in the yard/flower bed.

My little Jack Russell "Tara" says she will remove them for your son at no charge. She regards them as snacks.

Bigmike1 Loc: I am from Gaffney, S.C. but live in Utah.

We ain't got no lizards around here in Utah that I am aware of. At least I have never come across one. Speaking of alligators, they are common in the lower part of South Carolina and in Georgia. When our tank unit went to Fort Stewart each summer for training we saw a lot of gators. On one occasion there was a trench cut out by a bull dozer and at the lower end was a large puddle of water with about a 7 foot gator in it. One of the black guys in our unit climbed down and began poking at the gator with a stick. Suddenly the gator grabbed the stick out of his hands. (They are as quick as lightning.) The guy cleared a 6 foot bank coming out of there. Everyone had a good laugh and they all accused him of turning white.

Excellent shots Darren, great in download.....as kids we used to catch lizards here in FL and let them bite your ear lobes and they stay there as ear bangles for a while....
