Unusual source for DIY photography equipment - both clever & amusing

Below is a site that has dozens of ideas for light stands, diffusers and other equipment that you can make in minutes and spend next to nothing.

While the site is in German, it does not matter as the illustrations are more than adequate to tell you what to do. Just take a visual look at each DIY project.

I have to wonder how much money I could have saved in buying, shipping and lugging stuff across the globe, when you can make a suitable light stand etc. on site almost anywhere in a few minutes and then leave it there.
I'm simultaneously laughing and humbled.

Thanks to a post by David Hobby at the Strobist for bringing this site to my attention.

I have just spent far too much time looking at this facinating site. Now the wife's back and I still haven't cut the lawn.

What a cool site!! I'm a documentary film maker and makes lots of my production gear. Dollies, booms, etc. I love this kinda stuff! You can go directly to this sight and click on the little "British Flag" icon in upper right, and that takes you to the English language page. Thanks for link!

I noticed the British flag icon also, but noted that it only had about half of the DIY projects listed.
Nevertheless, these ideas are so simple and well photographed, I'm not sure any text is really needed.

Just click on the British flag at top right for the website in English language

Oops! Already noted. Must be an age thing.

Leave it to the Germans to be inventive like that.
