This lens is a US model. Used only a few times lens is in as-new cosmetic and working condition. It comes with original box, lens hood, lens caps, soft case and strap and instruction manual.

I am selling this because I thought my wife could use it on my D850. She was not happy with that idea because the D850 has no Auto setting like my D7000.

It might help potential buyers decide if you said why you were selling it.

The following statement is my personal opinion. WHY does anyone need to know WHY you're selling anything. You have something to sell that's all people need to know, as long as it's not stolen goods. If someone came to me to borrow money, it's none of my business WHY you need to money.

I have never asked a person selling me a lens why the lens is being sold. I am mainly interested in knowing if the lens is a gray market, if it has been properly cared for and if the glass has no scratches of fungus.
If the lens performs as it should I stop asking questions.

It is quite possible that the seller found an unexpected disadvantage to the lens. Could be many thing such as size, weight, lack of need for the range. This might be irrelevant to a potential buyer but it is a reasonable question and could put someone's concerns to rest.

This lens needs to be updated with the newer glass and focus servos. It is a great lens and very popular.
Ps David could you lend me $465.00?

This is a very unique lens. If I was limited to taking only one lens on an outing or on vacation, this would be it. I don't think any other lens mfg. OEM or after market mfg. has a lens like this. The special thing this lens does that none other does is to close focus at all focal lengths. Can you imagine shooting at 450mm (when shooting with an APS-C body) from only a foot away! No need for a macro lens! This lens covers from wide angle to a decent telephoto and macro to boot. I have one of these and while it is not my most used lens, it is the one I use when limited to a small amount of gear. Good luck with your sell, someone should grab this up at that price.

I never thought of P mode for her, the discussion ended when she did not see the green icon that would also pop up the built in flash as needed. The D850 does not have a built in flash and the thought of adding a external flash for her to use was also beyond discussion. She is comfortable using my D7000 and is not interested in anything other then auto. I'm glad she will use that other then her I phone for pictures of my grandsons.
