Do any of you watch "The Brokenwood Mysteries" TV series from New Zealand? I'm into Season 5 now, close to the end. I hope it continues. I've seen series from Australia before but never from NZ.

Excellent! I'll be finished with Season 5 by then. I'm alternating between Brokenwood, Murdoch Murders, and Midsomer - lots of death and lots of wine drinking!

Acorn, just $15/month (I think). I paid for the whole year at a lower rate.

Don't miss out on "My Life is Murder". Acorn, Staring Lucy Lawless. Aussie. Another great series. 1 just finished. Also, while a little hard to understand all of the dialogue, catch Shetland. Great stories on and about the far north islands off Scotland.

I watched the first episode - not thrilled, but I'll continue. I'll look for Shetland, but I wonder if I've seen that already. Closed captioning is great!

EDIT: Yes, I did see Shetland. Good series.

Shetland is at the top of my list. There probably won't be any new productions for a few months. The scenery and music is captivating. I preferred the Book based story lines better than the written for tv, but still enjoy it.
Brokenwood is great too, I watch everything on PBS, either Minnesota or Iowa.

I watched "Shetland: on Netflix and another one to watch is "Hinterland" which takes place in Wales. Both very good series.
Can anyone tell me why English detectives don't shave? LOL.

There were a couple of excellent Swedish series a couple of years ago on PBS--can't remember the names. I also get a kick out of Professor T now on PBS.

Walander would have been one of them. I enjoyed that one, kind of a sad ending.
