Foetal heart monitor

Dr Bose is explaining, to my son in law, the finer points of the foetal heart monitor that we had just handed over to the maternity unit.

The unit handles about 150 deliveries per month. The hospital has 150 beds so, as you can imagine maternity soaks up a large part of the hospitals resources.

Looks like something they really needed. I can well imagine that the machine is going to be a huge asset for the clinic.

Having worked in Labor & Delivery in years prior to fetal monitoring and then learned the technology from its beginnings, I cannot tell you how many lives this will save. What a generous gift to this hospital!

You and your son-in-law will be blessed.

Have you been to the hospital again yet? If my memory serves me right you had another appointment (was it in December)? If so, how did it go?

How wonderful of you and your son-in-law to donate that to the hospital, Graham. Having gone through the birth of three children with my wife, I know how important those are to healthy births, esp. when something does go amiss with the baby. Cheers!!
