My wife's Sony 5MP camera (c. 2001) finally died and Santa brought her a new Sony A6000 with a pair of kit lenses. Now she needs a camera bag. We have the old camera bag she used before but it lacks dividers and she wants something new for her new baby. The bag we have is 4" x 9" x 6" tall and frankly seems cavernous for this little camera. She will be carrying the body and two lenses, plus spare batteries. If she ever gets another lens, it's likely to be an upgrade to one of the kit lenses, so the lens count is unlikely to increase.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a -small- bag that will be good for this camera?
I have a small Lowepro bag that I carried an alpha 6300 plus additional lens. Also have a polarizing filter, 62 mm, I'd sell as a package. If interested, PM me.

Thanks for that. However, that one is even bigger than the one we have. We're hoping for something smaller.
Any messenger-type bag will serve
well without messing with dividers.
Some do have dividers, but a lens
wrap for the off-the-camera optic
is all you really need. A messenger
bag with a divider for a Tablet PC is
enuf to keep the camera with lens
from smacking the off-camera lens.
A small polyethylene food storage
tub with lid will hold batteries and
a filter or such, and cannot harm
whatever gear it bumps into.
So, any bag of any style, photo,
army surplus, camping gear etc.
Then you toss in:
1. Body with lens
2. Lens in wrap [or pouch]
3. Small poly tub

Thanks! That's a very helpful idea.

I like Tenba messenger bags.
I have one for sale, $25 plus shipping costs. It is a Tamrac, never used.

Think Tank Mirrorless Mover series. It comes in several sizes.
She may consider a diaper bag. Lots of pockets, well padded, waterproof, places for water bottle, very low cost compared to "camera bags". No one steals a diaper bag. But they sure will a bag that has a big Nikon, Canon, Sony, or Lowepro plastered on it.

Thanks to all that replied. Flying Three has made me a very generous offer on the bag he has, and I think we now have a solution for my wife's camera.
Thanks again, all.
Look at the Billingham digital Hadley. (
www.billingham.co.uk) and if that's too big, look at the Pola. The only way you'll have to replace either one is if she gets more gear and outgrows it. Otherwise, your grandchildren will have a great camera bag.
