We all have Favorite Shots that we've taken through out the past Year. Sometimes they aren't really our best work we just Like them for one reason or another. This is the place to Share these Shots and the Shots that really are our best work from 2019, Maybe it's a Milestone Shot such as A New Technique that that turned out really well.
Please Share with us what you feel is your Best Work..
Here are a few of What I feel are my Best Work from 2019
My 'best' shot is actually just an intentionally grainy, HEAVY crop, B/W rendition of a color image of a school play performance. The story, though, makes it my favorite.
I am a math and science teacher and coach various sports, but also do what I can to help out with our school's One-Act plays. Usually I do background shots or do specific images to be converted to set decoration 'wraps' to create the feel of brick or siding or chain link fencing.... Last spring, though, I made the following image and offered it as a prop to be used in the final scene of the play.
In that scene, a main character takes the image from his work desk and has his final interaction with the now-deceased ex girlfriend/lover. As the play is set in the 1930's, the portrait had to be B/W, but purely coincidentally, the expression of our actress in the original image was PERFECT to illustrate a 'looking back' moment for both characters. Several judges praised the final scene and the prop as the play progressed towards it's State Runner-Up finish. On the screen, the image is 'blah' but on stage, an 8x10 framed print was emotionally wrenching.
The lost love:
A few from Missouri. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

That's for sure, Jim! Loved visiting -so much beauty!
This is going to be a tough challenge. 2019 was my first full year of retirement and I spent a lot of time playing around with the camera. I have lots of pictures to go through! So I am going to have several categories. This first one is:
Best Cold Weather Shots
