I know that there have been some great discussions on camera bags. But the "search" function doesn't get me to any of them.
I'm looking for a medium sized camera bag. I have a large Manfrotto (MB-BP-50BB) that works great. I also have a small Lowepro that I like (can't tell the model #), but it's pretty small.
I need a second bag for flashes, extra lenses, my Mavic 2 Pro (individual parts already in individual padded cases).
The Manfrotto Pro Light camera backpack 3N1-36 is currently on sale at B&H. Anyone try this?
Price - around $100 +/-. I'm thinking backpack style.
Thanks for the help.
Try putting this into Google:
camera bag site:uglyhedgehog.com
or
"camera bag" site:uglyhedgehog.com
It will search the page contents, not just the titles (which because of what most people type, are worthless)
Will return only hits from UHH. (Other than Google advertisements.)

For what you want to put in it, it seems the large would be better suited.
Thanks for the replies. I'm diving into my research.
Have you considered a sling bag instead of a backpack? I just bought one and so far love it. I wish it was a tad bigger, but that might limit its usefulness. I wear it over my head and opposite shoulder and can swing it into the front to get easy access to its contents, and make it acceptable in some museums where backpacks may not be worn on your back!

As an alternative, Domke makes some great sling bags in S,M,L. They're in your price range.
I've used one of these for the last 20 years. Over that time, I've added several for different cameras, lenses, etc.

It is $129+tax but still a good deal . (did not use payboo, want the points on credit card).
I quickly scanned a number of others and this looks great: ordered it !. Thank you.

All I can say is that attempting to find the ideal bag is more of a disease that a quest. I have collected many bags over the years, as I'm sure many on this forum have also. You're kinda on your own as no-one can really decide for you. Good luck!
Decided to go for a Lowepro Photo Classic BP 300 AW. I have the smaller version of it - and it's a great - no nonsense pack. It was 1/2 price - $65 on the Lowepro site.
Bought a Lowepro PhotoTrekker AW back in the 80's, humped it all over Europe, Asia, Middle East for 15 years in my SLR days. Once watched it cartwheel down a set of STEEP steps at an Angkor Wat temple. No damage whatsoever to contents. I've been a Lowepro man ever since.
I was many years Loweoro and happy with small and large sling pack as able to shift to front to take out equipment without having to take pack off. However fir long hike the CEO’s-chest straps is less comfortable than regular shoulder straps. The Manfrotto can be converted easily from one to the other , so am looking forward to that feature.
