4k curved Monitor

For the last several months I have been following UHH discussions on using a 4k curved monitor for photo editing. Most everyone that participated in the discussions were against them for one reason or another. I don't recall a single person that had said they had used one. I am 73 years old and a born sceptic. I recently acquired a 32 inch Samsung 4k curved monitor. There is no distortion. The color is superb (it has to be adjusted like any other monitor), and I have never used anything this good for editing. I was using a 27 inch flat screen before. All I can say is "don't knock it until you try it.

Good post. If it works for you it is good. Interesting negative comments you received too, I would dare to think none or hardly any even tried or had one. Me, I would not have problem with one by Just looking at them in the store. They are useful. I have a HD 27” flat and Would not have problem with a curved 32.

I use one as well and love it.
It's a 40 inch 4K AOC and works great.
The curve simply allows a larger screen to be closer to you, keeping more of the pic in your view.
My second monitor is a 28 inch which is also nice, but I use the 4k over it any time of day.

The 40 inch was purchased to allow me to work on Architectural drawings, but found it is great with pics. It allows for the pic to be nice and large even with the toolboxes open on the sides.

I appreciate everyone's comments good and bad my dad used to tell me that computers were a fad too but I truly believe if you've never tried one you don't know what you're missing

About you never tried one you don't know what you are missing. I think so too but I wouldn't buy a curved monitor because I am quite sure they don't work well for me.
Now back in the 70's I don't like them Canon A series (i.e. AE-1, A-1, AE-1p) but I didn't own them how do I know.
Same thing with calculators I didn't like the Texas Instrument models but I didn't own them so how would I know for sure?
Today I owned a bunch of Texas Instrument calculators and all of the 3 Canon models and I now know I that I am glad I missed what they offered.

I have an ACER 32" curved monitor and it is great, no distortion, great color and easy on the eyes.

I personally don’t see the value of a curved screen at a size for desktop use, unless your face is only a few inches from the screen. When you get to cinema size screens, curvature then becomes more useful since the angular offset to the edges of the screen from your viewing position can be extreme and distort the image.

Stan, I sit two and a half + feet from mine, perfectly clear, colors are great, no distortion what so ever and great on the eyes.
