I know what you mean about some spots being washed out. Took a number of shots and this one had the least amount of washout. Thank you all for your comments.

Be that as it may, Scotty, it's a beautiful photograph taken with good skill. There are very few perfect photos in which everyone would agree. Yours is a keeper.

Out of curiosity, what was your Shutter speed?

Caught my eye too. Nice shot. I usually try a series with various shutter speeds and choose the one, or two, I like best.

Wish I could tell you the shutter speed but I just don't know. This shot was taken in 1994 on Kodachrome. If memory serves the water was moving at a fair pace so I'd guess 1/4-1/8. Of course with film, as you know, you don't know what you have until you process. Took a couple more shots at different speeds but this was clearly the best result. Thanks all for your comments.

Very nice shot. The "wash out" does not bother me; just shows where the reflected light was most intense. An emotionally appealing image. Good work.

Really nice. I don't mind the "cotton candy" look as long as there is plenty of sharp detail for contrast, and you've got that. As for the washed-out areas, you could tone down the highlights in whatever post-processing program you use. That'll usually bring out a lot of detail that is otherwise lost.
