One of the most enjoyable stops on our trip from Inverness to Edinburgh was a stop at a sheep ranch to visit the beautiful dogs and get a close up look at their incredible skills as they responded to the whistles and almost whispered commands of the shepherd. Fortunately the weather was kind. Enjoy the images.

They have a sheep dog competition every summer near us...is is a very big draw. Delightful images...thanks for sharing!!

I had to chuckle when looking at the photo of the dog grabbing the shoe heel. When I was a boy some friends of the family had a dog, don't know the breed, that would try to herd me using that method. IOW, it tried to get me to walk in the direction and to the location it wanted me to. This was a truly forgotten memory - I hadn't thought of it in decades! I really enjoyed the images, thanks for posting them.
