Peak design tripod.
Just got the newly released peak design travel pod and a very impressed with it's size and functionality. I think it to be one to be considered when looking for a travel tripod. I really like the uniquely designed ball head.

Looks like an interesting item. Something to keep in mind if one wants to travel lighter and in a little less space. Have fun with your new equipment.
I have had mine for a few weeks and it is really cool. I found one problem and i email PD and they are aware of it.
If you don't put the hex key in a certain way it will fall out. I put a piece of tape over it just so i don't lose it.
Just got mine as well. Love it.
Wish I had mine! Leaving for 4 month cruise and ordered very early - fingers crossed!

I've received mine last week. Very impressive engineering design. Couple things of which to be aware. You can't do panos with the included ballhead. Secondly, if you plan to use cameras with L-plates, then you'll have to remove the two small screws on top of the ballhead.

Good tripod but only extends to 60 inches max. Not good enough for my extra tall frame.
I put a Wimberly gimbal head on mine and it's perfect.

I just got mine. It is a little smaller and lighter (flimsier?) than I expected. I am 6' 1" so I will be stooping a bit when I use this. But it is very carry-able and therefore more likely to be with me when needed. I certainly can't carry my big RRS tripod on a day-to-day basis, but this one slips right into the side pouch of my Peak Design Everyday Backpack, which I use to carry my Nikon D 7 kit. I'm pretty happy with it. We'll see how it performs out in the world.

What's the way? Mine keeps falling out if the tripod is upside down.

That sort of defeats the "Light Weight" feature.

Do you mean Panning Shots? If so, why not, the ball rotates completely around when raised up from the base.
It knocked 4 lbs off the weight of my 200-600 rig, very helpful. I made a beanbag to put on top of the big lens and can put my 2nd camera on it and easily pan with other lens.

I really meant panoramas. There is only one as opposed to three controls for movement of the ballhead. So it rotates freely every which way and there is no way to keep it restricted to a single plane.

When you insert the key turn it in the other direction then what you are doing.
