You are right. It was worth watching.
By the way, "cracking" is a word I only hear on trips to Ireland to visit relatives.

The samson was a maltese barge crane I think. It had been based in Liverpool for years but now it was getting towed to Malta. It hadn't got far when there was a storm 32 years ago which broke the tow line. This is how it ended up on the rocks. The 2 crew were rescued by an RAF helicopter and it has sat there since rusting away.

Did you notice what seemed to be an error he made
shooting the rusted structure?

He had the camera landscape oriented, but had to crop
the image to more of a portrait format.

If he had of shot in portrait he would have had to crop less,
and of course would have had more detail and the ability
to make larger prints.

Having said that, his advice is sage and I like Mr Spoonleys work very much.

He was making quite a slow exposure maybe no L bracket although a ball head will usually let you go to 90 degrees it may not be stable enough. I may have a shot of it myself i think it's an hour away from me. :)
