Like Pointsettias, they need 12-14 hour nights to make them bloom. Electric lights on at night will keep them from getting buds. Try putting it in a sunny window in an unused room starting around Oct 1.

oops, just realized your Christmas is in the summer. You may have to move it into a closet at night to get it enough hours of darkness for it to bloom at Christmas...
