Creating still life images is one of my favorite things to do. I gave the pitcher to a granddaughter and I borrow it now on then. The patina makes it show well. There's a variety of objects for arrangements - flowers, fruits, faerie gardens, pottery, plush animals - the list is endless. I am always pleased to receive comments and criticisms.

Annie, my nephew started calling me Corky when I was about three years old and somehow it seemed to stick. We live along the Chickahominy River which is a beautiful little swampy tidal river with many Cypress and tupelo gum trees along its banks so from those two things came the name Swamp-Cork. We are located about 20 miles west of Williamsburg, Virginia and the Chickahominy empties into the James River about 10 miles east of us near Jamestown, Virginia. I hope that you guys have a great Christmas and a happy new year. Take care, Corky

I just knew that name's origin would be interesting. I'm so glad you told me how you came to be called Swamp-Cork and about your area. A few years ago I moved from a 2 story hundred year old farm house into a one room apartment in a retirement community located in the small town of Byron Center near Grand Rapids, Mi. The Grand River runs through G.R. I will be enjoying Christmas day at a granddaughters. I wish you a joyous Christmas and may God bless you in 2020, Corky.
