Written by Mentor Williams in 1970, first recorded by John Henry Kurtz in 1972, but made world famous by Dobie Gray in 1973 ... long before Uncle Kracker did it in 2003.

That's quite a lot of snow. A nice image. Are you old enough to remember the blizzard of 78?

Oh yeah! I got stuck in traffic overnight in the middle of an expressway just East of Cleveland in Nov. 1974 on my way home after spending four snowless winters in Europe while serving in the Navy.

The picture above was actually shot on slide film with a Minolta XE-7 in the early 1980s in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Nice photo. But now I have an ear worm with that song, the 1973 version.
