Gloucester, MA Christmas Tree

I do not know when this tradition started, but it was probably after the adoption of the use of steel traps. My connection to Gloucester goes back to 70’s & 80’s when I did 3 commercial construction projects. Near the end of the 3rd I met my wife who was born and raised in the Bayview neighborhood.
I posted here because I did not take the pictures. They are off of Facebook.

I can smell the salt and seaweed. I visited Gloucester often in teh 1970's. Nothing could be more typical of Yankee ingenuity.

There’s a beautiful tree made up of poinsettias every year at the pier at Fort Myers Beach.

And the correct pronunciation of Gloucester is - Glosta - LOL
