One A Day, Day 134.

Back at Day 133 we saw the three women on the landing for the Garden Apartment with make up getting ready for a workshop photo shoot. Three models while down stairs in mostly the studios of the building were the large group of photographers. Milling about talking and getting ready for the fun to begin. I loved doing workshops, it was as much fun for me as the rest of the photographers and models.
I went upstairs to get our first model to see who was to start the session. Jenny Knox was ready to go so she was delighted to be first up! The group of photographers filled the lighting studio as the talented Ms. KNOX sauntered in wear heals, a hat and a big smile! "Hello boys! Timmy! All mine, I don't share with the other girls! Fine with me!" So I broke the men into three groups, telling them that they would all have time with each model, of which there were three for the day.
I left the two other groups in the front lighting studio and took KNOX out to the garden. We began in the unfinished solarium with temporary plastic walls. Of course we began with a minor crises. KNOX moved close to me, leaned close and whispered I don't have my plug in, I need my plug!
I looked at her, "Fine, there is a question, you have the first outfit but need the plug. The big question is, audience or no audience?" KNOX gave me that impish smile; "Audience please!"
So I went over and picked up the small bag, then walked back to KNOX. "Please put your cameras down and lets get the prep for the KNOX modeling session," I announced. I got the rubber disposable glove and had KNOX turn around facing away, I explained, "A lot of alternative models use certain 'elements' to get the ball rolling for nude and erotic modeling, think of it was model foreplay." With that I lubed the fingers with jelly from the tube and applied that to KNOX, then I introduced the black plug to her. She straightened up and turned back to the silent photographers and began to get into the first costume, as she did she laughed and said, "Come on I'm ready to model!"
I turned on the large tungsten light and explained that the model was in tungsten light. A custom white balance or set the camera to the tungsten balance setting. The plastic walls will appear blue due to the sunlight, while the main light will have a 'good' or correct color balance.
As the group session continued we stuck to a tungsten color balance out in the garden. Using a 1K photogenic light, the illumination gave KNOX a tungsten balance while just outside that area of illumination the surroundings went to a cool color balance. We used the large fish ceramic fixture as the main location for these images. Of course we did change out the plug for a decretive red/orange tail. KNOX was delighted with the change!
Why? Because, the devil made her do it!
