Imac Catalina Problem

After I download the latest update to Catalina somehow must have triggered a new setting on my screen.
Whenever I right click on a window a series of numbers appears to the left of the items of choice. Very annoying. Don't know how to eliminate this.
Anyone have this problem.
I'll check the Apple Forum later today.
Thanks

Suggestion: Don't waste time dealing with the Apple Forum...call the Apple Technical Support line (800-275-2273) for immediate information. A recorded voice will ask for information to identify your equipment and the area of concern. Costs nothing but a few minutes-or however long it takes to resolve your issue.

Get linux. Day after day I see people with issues regarding their OS, both mac and windows. Why not try something different?

Years ago I took one of my computers and it turned it into a Linux OS.
Not sure I want to try that again with my relatively new IMac.
What I might do is get a new PC and add enough memory.

From what I read Apple is a shell riding on the Linux kernel. If you know Linux you may be able to get into the kernel and fix it.

Linux is nice if you want to play geek...but for most users the lack of easily obtainable, full featured software is a big con. Sure, home brew and the like make it easier...and GIMP works, kinda...but for the non geek there is a reason it is a fringe OS.

I thought Catalina was an island. I used to live there.

Linux is ultimately UNIX.
