I took a course in photography and was amazed at how much material there is in the camera manual! But I've switched from a tiny Canon PowerShot SD to a Nikon D200, and need to start all over. When you don't do it every day, it's like everything else, you forget what you thought you'd learned. So mostly, I will be reading your posts and trying to apply them to my situation and learning how to use my camera better. Then when I feel I know enough to ask a question, I will! Thank you for this wonderful website. I'm already hooked.
Welcome........We'll wait !
Welcome virginia
I went through ur beautiful state a few summers ago. Took a lot of photos and it was all film. I started with a cannon xti and then last December I swallowed the big pill and got a 7D. Omg I was lost. I almost took it back but with the help of photo buddies and of course reading the silly manual I'm feeling better. I'm new on this site and I am learning even more through others advise. Good luck!

Thank you for your welcome. I have so much to learn that it will be a while before I can ask a decent question. It's comforting to know that you are there, tho!
Going thru the silly manual is taking a lot of time! All the buttons are in the 'wrong' place from my Canon, and while I know they have to accomplish pretty much the same thing, it is taking me longer than I would like to re-wrap my brain. Thank you for your sympathy....good to know others have survived the journey!
Thank you for making me feel welcome. I'll try not to be a newbie pain and won't bug folks until I can't figure something out on my own. Sure is good to know there are helping hands on stand-by, tho!
