Am I missing something?
They are spanning 10 years during which much of that time mirrorless cameras didn't exist. Then they claim that DSLRs outsold mirrorless. DUH
I'd bet there was a time when horses outsold pickup trucks, just pick the right 10 years.

But there was a time when pickup trucks were being phased in replacing horses - say 1910 to 1919. This is used cameras for sale during such a period; a single MILC
could have been on the list. If I were an MILC partisan, I would argue that Sony has replaced models so fast that you would have to group cameras together, say group all the A9R cameras into one .... but I am no one's partisan - just reporting.

Not an accurate representation of anything other than used camera sales, as the MILC population increases (and they start to flow into the used market) the numbers will reflect that growing populations impact on used sales as well.
I am sure that the numbers and models given would ADEQUATELY and ACCURATELY reflect the ten year period in question. I am unsure why we might consider mirrorless, still only a small percentage of professional camera sales, as being somehow cheated in arriving at the 10/10, 49/50 figure. When the next decade concludes many newer models will likely be mentioned. What is the big deal? I am sure that the 1910-1920 decade would not have included many DSLR cameras. Be PATIENT.
I am feeling as old as my equipment. I own 3 out of the 10. lol

I'm surprised the Canon F1 is not on the list. I still have my 1970s model along with my FTB-QL
At the end of the article, they acknowledge that mirrorless is gaining market share...
"As we look ahead to the next decade, we have to wonder when DSLRs will lose their dominance. Already, mirrorless cameras are moving up our list at a good pace, so it's just a matter of time until they start sneaking into the top 10 and eventually take over."

Maybe many owners are like you - hanging on to their old bodies. This reports only on those who decide to sell through KEH, not those who decide not to sell, not those who sell by other means.
Hey, I still have my old 70’s Canon F-1, not to mention my Pellix.
I wonder if my first wife still has the AE-1 I gave her back then? I wonder if she remembers where it came from - or, if she threw it away after the breakup?
