This is that period after the fall color and before we get any amount of snow to hide things. When drab is the condition found here on Mushrush road. It is that time when the camera mostly sits on the desk replaced by the third cup of coffee. The birds at the feeder have gone into winter colors and the days get progressively shorter and we feel our age more. There are subjects out there but you have to look harder to find them. You just have to look through different glasses now.

Well said and nice shots.
Nice series. It looks about the same around here, but the snow will have to wait till tomorrow.
I love the feel of the pond scene (#3). The antique look is super.
I was a bit confused by the horizontal line across the bottom third of the shot... until I realized that it was the line created by the frozen and unfrozen water. In my mind... I tried cropping the bottom third out. But I can't decide yes or no to doing that.
But all-in-all, a very nice group of pictures.
Barry
A great group of photographs.

Nice shots, I was not aware there was such a thing as a 18% gray period, never heard of that before!
A very attractive set...nice work!

Beautiful wilderness and winter upon it.......priceless life style and bitter-sweet adventures still uncaptured and restless anxiety peaking your awareness with endless anticipation of revelations as yet unseen.
This is what I feel as I gaze upon your work........more please and thank you.
