Without a center of interest.

Hi All while working with this image, thinking it would be a background to something else. It struck me, had I created an image where the the background was in it self the center of interest. How odd is that?? With trepidation in my chest I ask for thoughts. Thanks so much. RBorud

Absolutely this image is more than just a useful background for something else. Maybe the center of interest resides not in the image but in the questions it raises in your mind (don't quite know how to express this!). Striking, mysterious, surreal..... great image!

I have the same emotional response as srt101fan.

I found I could start exploring with the center trees and stay easily within the frame because of the diagonal trunks and branches on both sides. The sketch-like pp, reflections and the way the water just kind of disappears into the distance - all add up to mysterious, surreal and engaging.

IMO it definitely stands on its own.

In today's era of Fast Food, Fast Internet, Fast News, etc one rarely takes more than a second if that while cruising the internet. Your image made me stop and look for awhile so I would say that it is at the very least, an interesting image and stands on it's on. My only comment is when I downloaded for viewing, the water looked very crunchy to me. A tad over processed maybe, or it could just be my old eyes.

I agree, it can stand alone with ease. The scene has some great depth to it, and interest, and is nicely processed. Of course, being a composite addict, I can’t wait to see what you’re going to place in it!
