My brick wall is one of my favorite shots.
But it was shot with a 6mp D40.
Cool wall, but could use more painting !
Here's how an artist of similar leaning
... but with a fatter paint budget ... did
some bricks on my street. Enjoy !

Yep, use my D500 for wildlife / birding and the D850 for everything else. For glass mostly a 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, 200-500mm f/5.6 and a 1.4x teleconverter, but have an assortment of primes including a macro lens and portrait lens.
Absolutly beautiful photo, love those black and white, but they are not just black and white. Beautiful works of art..! Thank you for showing.

For the D850 users only. What makes this camera better for what you shoot?
What lens do you prefer and why?
I am thinking of supplementing my d500. I shoot mostly city, people, landscapes and waterfalls and deep woods.
I know that i f I add this camera I am buying new F2.8 glass
Sorry to say, I leave mine at home 90% of the time... all because of mirrorless tech.
Merry Christmas!
Hummff.... I feel depixalize with my newly aquired D700. But I'll definitely used the same lenses..!

I use my D850 as a second to my D5 for sports and for almost anything else. I prefer the D5 in bad lighting and for sports work. The D850 is just one great camera. Best of luck.
What backpack do you use?
Great for low light; macro work including focus-stacking; color capability; birds in flight with accessory hand grip; fast buffering with XQD memory card; slide/negative copying for digital image; action shots; etc., etc.

Good compliment to your D500. I did the same thing this year.
I shoot the D850 with my 28-300 Nikon lens for virtually everything. I like the ability to shoot from wide angle to telephoto with one lens. I do street, architectural, landscape, and some wildlife. Was the perfect combination for recent Waterfall and Outer Bank composition workshops.

My wife is a florist so I shoot her work a lot. I shoot music when I get the chance. Mostly I shoot activists - protests, marches, and rallies. I love the 850's dynamic range and the ability of the camera to shoot well in challenging lighting. I use either the Tamron 24-70 2.8 if I'm going to be inside and I carry a 750 with a70-200 2.8 for range. If I'm going to be mostly outside and I only want to carry one camera, I take the 850 with a Nikon 24-120 f4.
The 14mm Samyang is great for a holiday walk about ..the crop potential is fantastic. The n 28-300 for general use and particularly weddings . I found the N 200-500 too heavy so have the Tamron 100-400 and the images are as good. They are going to have to up the Mirrorless game a bit to compete
HI KSMITH: Just got my D850 a week ago. I do product shots. Landscape and micro bird and flowers. Almost every lens I use gives me great shots. 50MM Prime, DX lenses 24-10 300-55. Full frame micro 105MM.
I look for focus, dynamic range and depth of field. I need excellent detail for product shoots. This is a huge step for mankind compared to my D7200 that I consider a great camera. Would I recommend it He** Yes!!! If you have old lenses or flashes try them on your D850 before you get rid of them. I'm still learning the adjustments--so I'll wait a month to post some shots.
