I love this. The colors are great. I played with it. hope you don't mind. Cropped and sharpened.
Nope i dont mind after all ive done some odd things to other folks pics (like adding a couple of sasquatches on a tettering log because they just looked like they needed to be there lol) ... Your edit is great I just bought my first mac and am gonna have to wait till I can afford mac style Photoshop before I'll be able to do much more then mess with the color and contrast and exposure
Those are awsome, Macro is my favorite. What lens did you use?
What is this a picture of ?
Awesome shots, I have never been able to catch anything like this but will keep trying.

I'm trying to get better at macro/high-speed photography of water drops. I have a long way to go, but like this one. Fill my time anyway :)
Is there a site you use to find these blogs to try?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. My lens is a Nikon 105mm - I really love it.

I just googled water drop photography, and it brings up a lot of links to 'how to' information, and different types of water drop photography. I can't remember exactly which one I used, probably looked at a LOT of them:) Lots of fun.
Va 40,
Would love to hear about your technique.

My set up is rather 'primitive' - I hang the zip bag of water about 3-5 feet over the drip pan (to catch the water). Put a hole in the bag with a pin. Gauge where the water drops hit the water and focus on that. (Manual focus). Tripod a MUST.
For the reflections I hang something colorful (background) behind the water so it will reflect on the water, giving color to the shot.
Strobe #1 on the background, strobe #2 to the other side, You may need a couple of shots to decide where you want the light. If you only have one strobe that's ok.
Manual focus f8 200iso - or you can do just about anything to get the shot. I have done it with a high iso and no flash. Not as pretty.
You just have to get in synch with the water when it hits the surface of the water in the pan (dish- whatever) Sometimes many shots before you get a keeper :) goodie for digital! ;)
You can see a lot of set ups and info if you google Water Drop Photography. or High speed water drop photography.
I know I am 'thinking' about what I do to get the shot, BUT saying it may be as clear as MUD :)
