I notice that Canon full frame cameras are being offered at huge discounts right now.... AFAIK the lowest prices some of them have ever been offered. They are even more discounted now than they were on Black Friday or Cyber Monday! Both DSLR and mirrorless models are being discounted:

5D Mark IV (30MP) body only $1999 ($1100 off reg. $3099)
5DIV with EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM lens $2749 ($1250 off reg. $3999)
5DIV with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM II lens $2899 ($1300 off reg. $4199)

6D Mark II (26MP) body only $1199 ($400 off reg. $1599)
6DII with EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens $1599 ($600 off reg. $2199)
6DII with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM II lens $2099 ($600 off reg. $2699)

EOS R (30MP) body only $1499 ($800 off reg. $2299)
EOS R with RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM lens $2199 ($1000 off reg. $3199)
EOS R with RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens $2399 ($1000 off reg. $3399)

EOS RP (26MP) body only $999 ($300 off reg. $1299)
EOS RP with RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM lens $1499 ($700 off reg. $2199)
EOR RP with RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens $1899 ($500 off reg. $2399)

There are also big discounts on various bundles of these cameras that add battery grips or lens adapters, video accessories or other retailer-added items such as memory cards or camera bags.

Note: I have no financial interest in this and don't work for Canon. Just happened to notice their current full frame bargain pricing!

Why are they doing this now? Maybe they didn't meet their sales goals over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. Or, maybe they're just trying to maximize their sales during the peak buying season.

Or, maybe Canon is just pissed off to hear that Sony has recently been named the top seller of full frame cameras! After all, Canon dominated full frame for a long time and was the first to offer a full frame DSLR (1Ds, 2002). By comparison, Sony (and by extension, Nikon) is a Johnny come lately to full frame: I think their first was announced in 2008 (Nikon into'd their first in 2007, using a Sony sensor I think).

Doesn't really matter why... It might be a good opportunity for folks who are in the market for a new camera and have their heart set on full frame!

P.S. Nikon appears to have some pretty aggressive pricing on some full frame DSLRs and mirrorless, too. Sony... not so much on their most current models, but some of their older ones are on sale.

Too bad you couldn't see the employee discount that ended yesterday!

Few people realize that 100% of luck is created by a full-frame sensor.

Nah it's the high end and not mid range like the 5D.

Not sure where this sale is but it’s not on Canon USA’s web site. Not this morning at least.

Well your right but it makes no since that Canon USA has it for $2499 I think and the online store is that much cheaper at $1999.

Authorized Canon dealers should have it. Picked up a 5D Mk IV yesterday at Hoyer’s Photo in Williamsport, Pa. for $1999. I understand pricing is good thru Christmas Eve.

Often the Canon Store will sell new for less than refurb.
It depends upon current stock.

Another "Applaud" for B & H Photo. I purchased a Canon 5D Mark IV that was shipped on December 3rd. After noticing the $1,999.00 offer of yesterday on the same camera for which I had paid $2,499 only a couple of weeks previously, I contacted them. They immediately offered to credit my credit card with the $500.00 difference. One can't go wrong doing business with a first class operation like B & H. Norm

What this means for me is, when the new Canon mirrorless R camera comes out, I will probably get next to nothing for my 5D Mark 4 given that the prices are so low now. Great for people who want to buy the 5D4. Not so great for those of us who will want to sell and move over to the R. 😂😂😂
