The new Canon R is now supposed to have 75 megapixels, but how much will it cost?
I wonder if they will update the RP as well?

I'll bet not, it is not even a year old.

That's not a new rumor, acutally not a rumor at all, that has already being confirmed about a year ago!
I'm already saving my dimes and quarters.

My guess is that it's about that price. A bit less than the 5DSR although with more MP. However, I don't think it would bring back a Canon guy from the Windy City who has gone Sony.

The original rumor was 60 mp, keeps going up, no confirmation from canon

I have a 5DSr, bought it a few months after it hit the streets. I have too many Canon and Nikkor lenses to ever even consider switching to Sony, which was my first digital camera about 20 years ago. A whole 3 megapixels; still have it and it still works.
I have no problem with Sony or any other manufacturer. Its just I've put so much money in Canon and Nikon products, and ultimately they all do the same thing, record digital images, that I see no valid reason to switch, just because one may have a different tone bell or a shriller whistle than the other.

Canon did confirm (like I said about a year ago or so), after having patented that sensor, that that is the one they'll be putting in the R's successor!
In photography you might discover who you are, and with a little luck, you might discover yourself shooting with a 75MP full-frame camera.
I got the out of country version for 1600 or so and am loving it. I really like it with my sigma 600 lens - but could not stand the thought of spending 3500 -- that wasn't going to happen, or if it did, my wife would have killed me.
here is a heavy crop of the first good shot I got with it

Version of what?
Canon 5dsr - Amazon, the kind that Canon USA wouldn't support if it breaks... I drive junk cars into the ground too... LOL
