Here are a few from Monday nite BB 200mm Canon Prime 1/800 10000 ISO auto WB
5 isn't sharp, but I liked it anyway. It was a quick shot as she came running toward the basket and so close I missed the ball!! she made the shot!
thanks for looking yssirk
Nice shots under difficult conditions. Paul
I really think there would be an improvement in the photos if you'd put the feet back in on #1 , 2, 4, 7

Thanks for commenting. I am shooting with a 200mm prime. In these close shots, there was no room for feet. Nothing is cropped.

That is the reason to use a zoom in the range of about 70-200; anytime the action will be both close and farther away. I find that the most useful lens I have is a 28~300; live and learn.

I like the shots, the last one is a bit dark. It's a tough sport to shoot. Lighting bad, lens has to focus quick to get a shot. Keep at it looking good.
Thanks for commenting. I have some zooms, but not 2.8's. I shoot with Canon 85mm 2.8 prime occasionally, but I do like the canon 200mm for the close up and expressions. I do have a 28-75mm 2.8, but it is a Tamron and don't think it will focus fast enough. I guess it's all what one wants to shoot. And I shoot crop Sensor Canons

Ya I thought the same about the last one. She was at the very end of the court and I think the lighting was dimmer there maybe. that gym seemed short if that is possible. I was out the door taking these shots. Thanks for commenting Jules. Always appreciate your thoughts

Sensorloupe:
Here is a suggestion. Try using the 85 2.8 instead of the zoom for one quarter. Fixed lenses focus quicker than a zoom lens. The lighting seems to be better in the middle of the courts. Try different stuff, your pics. have improved 100%. I am going to shoot part of the Tarkanian Classic next Thursday at The Orleans Hotel. I probably will shoot about 4 games. They have led lighting which is nice.

I don't shoot with a zoom. Only the 85 and 200 both 2.8 primes. I don't have time to zoom! Ha! I know someone above suggested using a zoom. Like you say fixed are faster focusing. Cool anxious to see the led lighting photos!! Thank you Jules
