Hi group,

I just finished a search of UHH and didn't find the answer to my question so I turn to you for a possible answer. When using Bridge CS3 I right click a picture in the Content window and one of the top selections is "Open in Camera RAW" and it works great. When I try to open a photo in RAW using the newest (and free) version of Bridge (2020), I get an error message "Camera Raw is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been licensed." I assume that means I must have a 2020 version of PS loaded. My question, "Will Photoshop Elements 2020 qualify as a "licensed product" or do I have to use the subscription version of PS to qualify. Thanks in advance for your comments. Take care & ...

Al - Adobe has a number of community support forums for its products. You might consider asking the same question there?

Hi group, br br I just finished a search of UHH a... (show quote)

You are still using CS3 !??? I thought I was old school with Ps CS6 Extended via DVD-ROM. I bought mine just before Adobe went all Cloud crazy.

CS3 may be too old for Bridge / ACR (2020). What version of Windows / Mac are you using? I had to use Win 10 to even get to ACR 9.1.1 (the last version for Ps CS6). ACR is old now, and I'm on my last versions of cameras I can use with CS6 / ACR 9.1.1. Next new camera and I'm switching to Ps CC Classic.

Hi Mike,
I just "unsubscribed" from the "CC" version of PS & LR and the last regular PS programs I have discs for are CS3, CS2, & 7. CS3 Bridge & Photoshop both work just fine on my Windows 7 and 10 machines but I'd really like to use a more up-to-date version of Camera Raw if possible. My thought was to use the 2020 version of Bridge with PSE 2020 Camera Raw but don't want to buy it unless the two are compatible. Thanks for your response. Take care & ...

No version of PSE will support the full ACR, so that will be a no go! PSE only allows for the much crippled version!

This lays out what you miss with the elements version of camera raw. A lot of people find it quite suitable, because elements picks up some of the slack. For $10 a month it's worth having the whole ball of wax, the whole kit and kaboodle, the whole enchilada, the....

When you right click, click on "Open with" and whatever version of Adobe Elements you have should be listed. (Adobe Elements is not a camera raw qualified product.)

Hi Bill,

You might be surprised by what that old program will do but I am searching for a legal copy of Photoshop CS6 - Bridge CS6. I'll be placing a "want advertisement" o UHH in the next few days. Thanks for your comment. Take care & ...

Hi Bill,

Yes, if the person you buy it from has the original DVD with access codes and they de-activate it on their computer. Unfortunately, you can also buy boot-leg copies on eBay (and other places) and it's tough to know what you are getting when bidding on one of those programs. Until I learn differently, I tend to trust most of the people on UHH so I'd feel fairly comfortable buying from the group. Take care & ...
