Is Adobe CC now compatible with the Catalina OS and is it now safe to upgrade OS10?

I have seen many posts on UHH and other blogs pointing out incampadiblitys between the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) photography software and the Apple Catalina OS. Have those issues been resolved by Adobe and is it now safe to make the upgrade or should I continue to delay upgrading my computers?

According to Adobe forums, the crisis is over. I don't have a Mac, so can't confirm.

All clear in general, from what I've read and heard for several weeks. Some individuals seem to occasionally have a problem, but it's not Adobe CC or Catalina that's causing it. I've been running both for over a month, with no problems once Adobe support found a corrupted file on my computer that was causing trouble.

Thank you Bob. That's reassuring.

I have successfully upgraded my Mac to Catalina (10.15.1) and I use Lightroom and Photoshop a lot.
I have not experienced any problems, or noticed any differences between using Lightroom and Photoshop from before my MacOS upgrade to now with the latest version.

So unless you are doing really obscure tasks, you should be able to safely upgrade your MacOS.

I am now running both my production macs with all the latest software. Updated my iMac Pro a couple of weeks ago. No issues on that or my MBP.

Thank you all. I will upgrade my computers today.

P.S.: I just saw a new post "• (new posts) FYI - Lightroom and Mac OS Catalina Issues (Adobe addressing) by Bogin Bob"d" that appeared this morning. Does anyone know if the issues described apply to Lightroom only or if they also apply to Lightroom Classic? If they apply to LR Classic, I will hold off on the upgrade.

Thank you all for your help.

No, I would not upgrade yet.
I just got a new MacBook Pro 16" and clean installed PS and LR. I have issues with Bridge not recognizing auxiliary drives on the Mac.
Also have issues with other software.
I would give it another few months.

It is never safe to upgrade an Apple product. Dump the Mac and buy a Dell or Lenovo.

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro running Catalina and Bridge will not delete files. Had to go back to Bridge 2019.

I upgraded to Catalina at least three weeks ago on a 2012 iMac and 2017 MacBook Pro. I’ve not had any problems with PS2020. The only problem I’ve had is with the ON1 resize pluggin which doesn’t work unless ON1 is running in the background. There was a ON1 2019 update I installed today but haven’t yet checked to see whether this corrects the pluggin issue.

Just call me Reverend Father. I dumped Crapple after an Apple IIc and an original Mac and never looked back!
