My Image Your View: Moulton Barn on Mormon Row

My wife and I spent a week in Yellowstone in Sept 2018. We only had one day to visit the Teton's and unfortunately we got out to Mormon Row during the middle of the afternoon when the sun was harsh. This is the photo as it was imported into Lightroom including a few Presets I apply on Import. I was never able to edit this image to get that iconic look seen so often with this subject. Have at it with any creative approach you see fit.

Feel free to download this image to your computer and edit it any way that you feel is good. Black and white conversions, textures, composites, infrared, solarization. Whatever you think looks good. Then post your edit in this thread. Edits will be accepted until 9pm on Thursday. At that time no more edits will be accepted and we will begin voting. Thank you all for participating.

Very much like the photograph as is, but in order to do something to it, opted for a crop and a presentation as a framed watercolor.

Not as good as Rich's or Irene's, but here's my take. It was done from the DNG file in PS RAW. Believe it or not, I started with AUTO! It helped! Tweaked from there.

As always, "good" is subjective. Your image is quite true to the original while mine is a manipulation. Which is 'gooder' is in the eyes of the beholder

The "iconic" shots must have been taken on days when there was less haze and possibly less glare. Dehaze tools can be good but there's always a limit to what can be achieved.

Really nice image of a beautiful place.
I didn't do it too much damage - I hope.

I might be the only one that didn't know of this highly photographed place. I looked it up on the web and see many, many photographs of this same barn and mountains behind it. I wondered what, as you call it, the iconic look might be. Couldn't decide but came up with this edit.
