River is our first Chessie.
I have always had Labs. Last year we had to put down Lucy, our 16 year old Yellow. Maggie, her younger sister is approaching the same age with the same ailments.
We have a 1 Year old Yellow, Piper and River that is a 6 Month old Chessie.
It is tough to lose these dogs.
