Laugharne Castle in the town of Laugharne,Carmarthenshire, Wales.
Laugharne Castle was built by the Normans in the early twelfth century.
A keep and tower were added in the 13th century.
Laugharne was converted into a Tudor mansion with a four storey gatehouse in the 16th century.
During the Civil War, Laugharne was captured by Royalists in 1644.
In 1644 Parliamentary forces of Major-General Rowland Laugharne attacked the castle.
After a weeklong siege in which much of the castle was damaged by cannon fire, the Royalist garrison finally surrendered.
The castle was then slighted by Parliamentary forces.
Laugharne was left as a romantic ruin during the 18th century and at the turn of the 19th century the outer ward was laid with formal gardens.
The gazebo summerhouse in the wall of Laugharne Castle is where Dylan Thomas wrote Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog.
Interesting history lesson. Did you use a drone for the elevated shot?

Ahh, I wondered if you were allowed to climb the ramparts, so to speak.
Excellent series, very interesting. Thanks.
