Due to a reservation snafu, VP Joe Biden apparently got booked into a hotel reserved mostly by Tea Party members at near the DNC this week.
In the wee hours of the morning, a fire broke out on the 3rd floor of the hotel and the Veep was trapped on the 4th floor. He manged to open a window and looked out to see a large group of people had gathered. They grabbed a large blanket and shouted for him to jump.
"No, I can't trust you Teapartiers," he said.
They insisted they would catch him.
"No," he said, "I know you'll pull the blanket away once I jump. I don't trust you guys."
They pleaded, assuring him they would not let him get hurt.
Again he yelled down, "no, I don't trust you guys! Lay the blanket on the ground and move back, then I'll jump."

He made the right choice. Better to jump on a blanket on the ground than trust the tea partiers to catch you. They care only about themselves.
