This was taken with my Canon 7D and my 60mm macro lens.
Settings: Bulb mode using a penlight 4 sec exposure, ISO 200, F/22. I used Photomatix Pro HDR software to process 3 synced images and finalized it in CS3 with basic adjustments. It's interesting playing with light and finding things around your house to photograph. What do you think?

I like the subject matter however the hot spot is distracting.

Would it be possible to apply indirect/reflected light?

Genlenz, You might try shooting the circuit board from a very low oblique angle with some backighting. I have shot boards this way in the past and they can almost take on a cityscape look and feel. Like you're a giant and you have found this little city so you take a closer look. I would like to see the results should you try this.

seesaw... I was trying to cover the logo on the chip... that was the reason for the brightness..thx for looking
