Based on the number of photos of the 4014 that have shown up here and elsewhere I'm getting to think there are more pictures of the UP Big Boy that have been taken during its current tour than when the locomotive was in active service thru the 1940's and 1950's. I'm willing to bet there weren't mobs of people with there box, range-finder and SLR film cameras standing next to the tracks to take a dozen photos of the locomotive as it went past with its consist of freight cars. Of course, back then a steam locomotive was a common site so not a big deal.
