Oysters are farmed in various shallow water coves and bays around Cape Cod. The oyster 'seeds' or spats cling to strings or ropes suspended in metal cages and submerged into the sheltered nutrient rich waters and allowed to grow for 18 months to two years. The floating crane captured here at Round Cove in Harwich is used to raise the cages for harvesting.

Nice photos to start... FYI At least in Photoshop, you can still open your Jpegs as if they were Raw and make post processing improvements if desired. Add a series of filters from other programs and you're all set.

You took nice advantage of the calm water for reflections. To me, #2 is the best shot because it isolates the crane from the background. Did you try a tighter crop on the crane? The boom and its reflection look imposing up close, like a big jaw. Fun.

Very nice, my favorites are 2 and 4, the reflections. Dawn over the Wequassett pool is nice too. Back in the '50's my uncle kept his boat in that cove, glad to see there's been little change...
