I'm not as picky and haven't read a book on composition as I should have done. I'll have to put that on my list of things to do. It looks great to my neophyte mind!! I particularly like the contrast between the bright red leaf and the dull background of the tree limbs and filtered light.

Your composition is fine. A central center of interest, as in yours, generates a feeling or idea of calm, contemplation stability. I like critiques like rmalarz's, because he says WHY he makes a statement. He is right, of course, about the possibility of more "drama" possible from a different composition, but I think your leaf conveys a different sense well.
