Just trying a new program that uses block printing look.
Here is one image I tried it on. Just something different. Can't go outside, as rain here all weekend!
You can get a LOT of different looks with this program. This is just one of them.
Please try the downloads to get a better look.

Image 1 looks like a painting. If that’s the look you are after. Image 2 is my preference because it looks realistic.

I like both. I’m probably in the minority here who like the “artistic” version of photos. To me it is not an either or, both have a place and a reason to like the end result. I have Topaz and have fun making “artistic” renditions of my favorite photos. Oh, and for the times you have a photo you really like, but the focus or sharpness is not as good as I would like, it becomes a painting!

Thank you. You understand where I was going with this. You're right, it's not an either or thing, just a something different thing. I too like to play around with different programs and see what kind of different looks I can get with some of my photographic images.
To me that's part of the fun in photography.

I, too, like both versions! It is a pleasing shot either way!

I like them both very much. As said before, it doesn't have to be either/or. What is the program called? I like the idea from Photolady about using it for nice photos with just missed focus.

Thanks for the visit and comments.
The program is supposed to simulate block printing. I forget the name of it.
I got it from jixpix.com
They have a lot of programs to convert photos into different artistic styles. The programs are fairly inexpensive and easy to use.

I like the result of the altered image - especially in the bench and the lettering on the sign in the upper left. Keep experimenting and exploring!

I enjoy playing with post processing apps that offer these type of effects - so far only on my smartphone. Prisma offers many free effects without having to pay for their subscription (though the pop up will keep trying). You can choose from many different styles and adjust the gradient, to determine how much of the "artsy" style you want to overtake the original photo capture. I find it to be the best of both worlds, as I enjoy photography and have zero artistic skill when it comes to drawing/painting/etc.

Thanks for looking Sharon. I appreciate your comments also.
I think that part of the fun of photography is getting different looks with your images.
