Unless you have lots of money for repairs, yeah I use them.

Looked at the reviews. As a result have no interest.

I use the lens covers tht come with the lens. Good enough for me. Except for my 500 and 300mm lenses. On those I use covers by LensCoat.

A lens cap fits easily in my pocket,
not sure what I would do with these.....

Of course, none of my lenses have ever been without them. What a strange question!!

I have been doing photography for 70 years and never had a repair that they would have helped. - Dave

Every lens I own has and wears a lens cover. Never considered doing otherwise.

Uhhh the manufacturer puts them on for a reason. There are more reasons to use them then to not use them. I add a lens keeper to every lens cap and keep the lenses in a cover when not in use. The exception is to those lenses stored in their original boxes when not in the field bag. All lenses stored in a temperature stable closet.

It seems to me everyone up until now has misinterpreted the question - which, to be fair, was very poorly phrased.

If I am not mistaken the OP is specifically asking about a new brand of cover called kurvd -

I did in fact buy a couple on Kickstarter (the crowdfunding site) some months ago - frankly they are fine but not that big a deal. Their stretchability allows for you to remove one from, say, a 35MM lens and put it on an 85MM lens with a wider diameter, but at the end of the day I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze. Save your money and just use lens caps (which i will wager everyone who has commented above was thinking you were talking about - a lesson in writing a coherent question.)

I have been using cameras and lenses for over 55 years. During that time only once I dropped a lens, never a camera. I would say that is a pretty god record for someone who uses his gear almost daily.
Seems to me that I do not need any "lens protection."

I have a set. Used them in Africa for more dust protection. They worked well - you should have seen the dust on the outside of them - better there than in the camera! They also offer more protection when you need to cram a lot of equipment into your bag.

Why yes, I have one of these! My friend and I traded it back and forth trying to find an essential need for it. At the end of the day, it is nice just in case you lose a cap...hey, those pinch caps can be hard to manage with numb fingers. Not fun to watch them tumble down a steep, unstable, unreachable canyon. Then what is one to do when you have to travel around with a bare lens? Yes, I try to keep spares when I travel but at least this guy will cover a variety of sizes and is light weight. That's all I have for usefulness on this one.

You are right about the protection factor...forgot that with a crammed bag. Is there another kind?
