I am looking for the same camera. I have the markiii and Mark iv but the mark vii has new features that I want for travel like the longer reach lens, and eye tracking. All I can find is $1,298 ($100 more than opening day price)with some stuff thrown in like spare generic battery and SD card from Adorama. I did fine EBay sellers For about $200 less but theses were imports. The camera is so hot I don’t think it’s going lower for a long time.

Roger that. Amazon has several packages for the same $1300. Monday is still a hope, but likelihood is low. 😃

This camera is currently so hot your hands will burn just thinking about owning it. Yes, there are gray market's out there but you take your chances.

I just bought a Sony RX100 VI with 3 extra batteries and a travel charger (open box, like new) for $750. It's a great little camera! There are lots of good deals out there on new and used version 6 now that the 7 is out.

I got mine from cameta on Amazon. They threw in lots of stuff, two cases, extra battery and charger. No discount on price though. Amazing camera, it’s way smarter than I am. Very pocketable, almost too small to hold very well.

Good morning. I guess I have to add here basically what I mentioned to DocBarry, that this is one great camera. I really like my RX100 VII. There are only two negatives I can think of, those being battery life—could be a bit better. I just carry a spare. And there is no hot shoe for an external flash, although the built in flash will trigger a remote flash unit.
This camera does so many things, and does them well. I think Sony has a real winner with it, and apparently it’s selling well, and the price isn’t likely to go down anytime soon. I got mine before the price increase. I don’t think you’d regret getting the VII, even though the price is high. The RX10 IV enjoys a similar reputation. It’s expensive, but apparently worth it, people are buying it and loving what it does, and the price hasn’t gone down on it, either.
