We started putting the house together for Christmas, about 75% ready now. We use the Architecture to advantage to give it a Currier and Ives feel when complete. Here is a teaser of what is to come.

It does have a Curried & Ives vibe to it.

I definitely love your captures.

May I offer a mild critique? Try using a tilt shift lens when photographing architecture. This lens corrects for parallax which looks like the building is falling backwards. When using this lens, use a tripod. The mechanism of this type of lens is slightly complex but does make it more expensive than a comparable lens with the same focal length. Try renting one beforehand.

These are very nice captures!

Happy Shooting!

Thx, I am absolutely aware of what TS lenses do and have used them extensively and with a tripod as well.. I am an Architect and do my own photography.
These are snap shots only and no other intent than to show what is going on.
Here is a bit corrected photo.
But again, these are snapshots just showing progress of decorations and were not meant to be presentation photos. I do know how to correct.

I gathered you are an Architect. I think your user name may have given me a clue. As for T-S Lenses, I didn't intend on insulting you. If I have offended you, please accept my apology. I didn't know these were snaps and I am now aware why the use of a specialty lens was not "deployed."

Those captures are vice nice and give a warm feel to your house.

Can’t wait to see it finished, in person. You should have posted your Halloween house although pics wouldn’t do it justice. My wife goes past your house several evenings a week to visit her mother at the Wmpt Home. She keeps me informed on your progress. It’s an annual rite to go past your house and over to Candy Cane Lane several times per season.

Thank you.
Our goal is to make those who go by smile and remember the reason for the season.
My only regret is that I am getting older and finding the ladder work to become more difficult.
Stop by and knock on the door, would like to visit. Just give us until next weekend to clean up the boxes and crap inside the house from the decorating.

With just a slight change in angles, you can make “one in 6 angels” look to have a red crown on.
