Like deer season. There is a time frame that is legal to hunt them.

You got a great shot at him, anyway! Did you 'pose' him for the photo shoot, lol? Beautiful portrait.

That is a wonderful capture. He looks perfectly posed and the golden light makes the perfect lighting conditions for this beautiful animal. Great job!

Typical. My son went to Alaska a couple years ago to hunt Moose. All he got was a squirrel. Did not see one moose.

That too bad. Thats a long trip.
About 5 years ago two of my sons and I went to northern Maine. One of my sons did get a moose. We donated most of the meat and hide to the local people and each took home some meat. My wife nor the daughters in law would eat any of the meat. Their loss.

I should qualify my post a bit. My son and daughter-in-law own a home in Alaska but have been away for a few years as they are both active duty military. Both are eligible for retirement and thinking of doing so at the end of their current assignment.

My wife was an animal lover so I couldn't go hunting if I wanted to keep peace on the home front. I shoot a lot of deer with the camera. That way I can shoot the same one every day.

I'M an animal lover. And a hunter. The two aren't mutually exclusive. All the hunters I know are animal lovers.
You can shoot the same one over and over, but you still have to eat rabbit food until you get one in the freezer.
