Focus Stacked Mosquito

As it is often said, "The only good mosquito is a dead mosquito!" and thus this is a good one. I found it on the window sill and I suspect that it has been there for a while for it was not in the best shape. It's size posed a challenge and it was quite fragile. I placed a piece of colored pastel paper a distance behind it to create the background. This is a focus stacked image with a combination of lens, magnifier and extension tube to fill as much of the frame as possible.

That is excellent! I say so without having any knowledge of your techniques, and knowing only a little about photography. Thank you for such an unusual submission.

If a mosquito could be appealing yours sure is. They don't look like this at my house, you would have to picture it flattened a little. All kidding aside great photo, must be seen in download.
