Just to add to my story...when I was in my early teens I had a Siamese cat that didn't have the best of attitudes. On this one day, my parents arrived home to find a man breaking the dining room window. When he saw my parents he ran off. My father went next door and phoned the police. While waiting for them to arrive my dad stuck his head in through the broken window and the Siamese leaped up and at the last second pulled his claws back in but whapped my dads face with his paws. Had it been the burglar I think that cat would have shredded his face. My dad wasn't a cat lover but he had some nice things to say about the cat that day. We should have put the sign from your first photo next to the window. Shame it wasn't available back then.
