Lighthouse, Tybee Island, Georgia

If you want to avoid all of the traffic and people in Hilton Head, South Carolina, just south of there and across the boarder in Georgia is Tybee Island. A magnificent little place with some nice places to eat and Savannah close by. I love going there and do whenever I am in America. Here is an image I made a few years ago of the lighthouse at Tybee Island, which is no longer lit.. A shame, really. I was in a field near this structure at 4:30 a.m., and was eaten alive by the mosquitos there. What we suffer for our art, right? :-) I shot this with a Nikon D100 and a 28-70mm Nikko F2.8 lens. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and if you are traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, be safe and enjoy!
