Very well done. I remember those times, born in 1945. I have a Graphex's cameras that was use by a teacher who took all school pictures for school yearbook (not senior year book pictures) from 1954(?) to 1972. The camera is still working fine. I keep it in a display case.
Looks a lot like the beginning of my life!
Some of the greatest things in our lives we just took for granite. Thanks for posting
Not my childhood. I grew up in Hells Kitchen in NYC. Family and friends ties were and still are strong.
I glad you all enjoyed this trip down memory lane. For those of us who lived it that was a pretty special time IMO!!

"took for granted" (correction)
Born 1934, I remember those times very well and (mostly) fondly. Had a 1939 Plymouth business coupe in college, no money for dates (if any would have gone for a ride in that brown hunk of metal). No muffler but a long piece of flex pipe that wrapped around the rear bumper. The battery died, so for six months I parked on hills or pushed it on level, then jumped in and crammed it into gear to jump start. My mother took a picture of (7 year old? me and neighbor girl friend) standing by the house holding hands with the garbage cans as background. Wish I could find that picture now of Betty and me. Nostalgia is fine and I am not senile "thank you G-d".
Brings back many fond memories, I was born in 1942, so I remember it all so well.
