Reeds and some scenery.
Some landscape photos are more arty than others. I thought the foreground reeds gave this one something of an arty look.
.
I like this image a lot, R.G. The reeds look particularly delicate against the imposing mountains. Beautifully seen and composed IMO.

Thank you Linda. The reeds would have made a good foreground for just about anything.
Another one of your more engaging shots, R.G.
Almost skipped over this one but went to the Download page and made it full computer screen. Wow what a difference, now a wall hanger. Everything about it is wonderful.

Thank you Jim-Pops. The reeds create their own little world.

I love the clouds in the sky. They are dancing around the summits which works really well. The reeds in the water definitely add interest. I like, also, that everything is tack sharp. This is a very good photo. I think one of your best. I love it.

Thank you Erich. Getting more contrast between the white mountain top and the light sky was something I had to work on in PP.
If you check the exif data you'll see the shutter speed was quite high, especially considering that I used a tripod. Reeds like that can move with the slightest breeze.

That makes sense. Those reeds are important for your composition and they need to be sharp. The choice you made, makes all the difference.

I think the reeds add a lot of depth to the image, and that keeps Loch Long out of the picture giving more impact to the mountains.

Thanks for your comments, JN. I was surprised by how good a foreground the reeds made.
Enjoying seeing these and looking forward to hopefully many more.
R.G. this is by far my favorite photo I have seen you post. It has beauty, light, depth, color, composition, and its artsy. All the things I strive for. A really beautiful job.
