I learned that fun can be had using phone post processing. Here's the original lights in a slightly different direction, and the final processed shot.

Thanks Pat - I've been wanting to try that 'photoelasticity' with the plastic glass etc. for a while, seems I should have done so sooner

I have to go to work now, but wanted to take a moment to thank the folks that remarked on my contribution. Feels good to be a part of the conversation.

It is sad. There was another pony that died from a similar obstruction, but that one had gotten into a campers dog food that was left out and that's what caused the obstruction. Initially that was the thought with Lacey as well, but the necropsy disproved that - it was a freak thing.

Horses are more delicate than most people realize - my daughter has six of them and constantly has to regulate the amount and type of food they eat among other issues.

That's good to hear, That it was a freak thing and not caused by her eating something she shouldn't have, so sorry about the other Pony that got into the Dog Food that should not have been left out..That's just plain irresponsible on the dog owners part..End of rant..

It really is irresponsible, especially since it is printed on all paperwork and verbally instructed to all campers at sign in.
